Visual editor - technical presentation (engineering focus) is an in-depth presentation intended for an audience that has a background in developing software and is interested to know how VisualEditor works, what challenges we've been dealing with. Potentially trying to get them interested in contributing to the VisualEditor software. This talk will be in English, although questions in Dutch can be answered by Timo Tijhof.
Timo Tijhof (aka Krinkle) is a developer in the Features Engineering department of the Wikimedia Foundation, who works on various projects, e.g., VisualEditor, Continuous integration
and ResourceLoader.
David Chan works in the Engineering department of the Wikimedia Foundation.
Ed Sanders is a computer scientist based in London. He has been a Wikipedian since 2003 and a sysop since 2004. Since February 2013 he has been working as a software engineer with the VisualEditor team at the Wikimedia Foundation, mostly on the linear model and transaction system.
